BIO

Torrie Burwell joined the NFF in January 2021 and serves as the Information Technology Manager. She led the charge to modernize NFF's technology systems in a remote work environment, and currently oversees all IT processes, applications, and staff. Originally from Massachusetts, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2015 where she studied Applied Mathematics, Computer Engineering and Natural Resource Economics. After completing her BS degree, Torrie moved to Seattle, Washington where she worked for five years as a Quality Assurance Engineer in the technology industry, honing her technical chops during the week and falling in love with the mountainous PNW forests on the weekend. In her free time, Torrie enjoys adventuring with her four-legged best friend, especially mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, and paddleboarding.
