BIO
Steve joined the NFF in the summer of 2024 as the Oregon Program Manager. He is a dedicated landscape ecologist, landscape architect, and project manager with more than twenty years of experience in the Pacific Northwest. Steve works at the intersection of restoration, resilience, recreation, and equity. He specializes in protecting and restoring ecosystem functions, enhancing climate-change resilience, and facilitating compatible recreation access and enjoyment for people of all backgrounds and abilities. Having explored National Forests across the American West, Steve is excited and honored to help steward these remarkable places toward a healthy, inclusive, and resilient future. When he's not working, you can usually find him on a wild river, a backcountry hiking trail, or on a paddleboard.
