BIO

Rebecca Brickner joined the NFF in January 2024 as the Conservation Awards Coordinator - Collaborative Capacity. Prior to joining the NFF, she worked for a Soil & Water Conservation District in North Carolina. Her work primarily focused on implementation of best management practices to support soil health and protect water quality on agricultural lands. Her background also includes environmental education, with outreach experience ranging from preschoolers to high school students as well as other education professionals.

Hailing from North Carolina, Rebecca grew up near Uwharrie National Forest and spent her formative years running, hiking, and recreating there. She studied Environmental Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys traveling, cooking, being outside with her dog, and cheering for the Carolina Tar Heels.
