"National Forests are important to me because they are where I had my first outdoors experience as a child."

BIO

I am a Los Angeles native with a passion for natural history. I am joining NFF after working with the Pacific Crest Trail Association. My previous work gave me a deep appreciation for our National Forests, National Scenic Trails, and Wilderness areas. I have varied experience in the conservation field including trail maintenance, wildfire prevention, habitat restoration, invasive species management, and environmental interpretation. My first outdoor job was as a park ranger, and I cannot shake the need to explain every interesting plant, animal, fungus, or rock when I am out hiking with others. I adore biodiverse Southern California. I like to spend my free time native plant gardening, birding, backpacking, and surfing.
