"National Forests provide me with the opportunity to glimpse into the wildness of nature's past and present, that we need to work to protect for the future, and I will be forever grateful for adventures in the woods."

BIO

Maggie joined the NFF in July 2023 as a Program Coordinator in the Yuba River Ranger District on the west slope of the Tahoe National Forest. Her work focuses on forest resiliency and watershed restoration projects in the Yuba River watershed.

Prior to joining the NFF, Maggie worked as a biologist and project manager in environmental consulting. In this role, she led and managed field studies, planning, and permitting projects focusing on biological resources in the Great Basin. Maggie graduated from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in ecology and wildlife studies and is excited to apply her knowledge and learned experience to the NFF’s ongoing conservation efforts in the Sierra Nevada.

Outside of work, Maggie spends her free time adventuring in the Tahoe National Forest. She enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and running rivers; and occasionally finds herself happily lost in the woods.
