BIO

Maddie Herro joined the National Forest Foundation in September 2021. As a Rocky Mountain Region Program Manager, Maddie works in recreation, vegetation management, watershed restoration, and collaborative planning initiatives. Maddie is based out of Grand Junction and is a part of the Colorado-based Rocky Mountain team.

Previously, Maddie worked as the Program Manager for Western Colorado University’s Center for Public Lands in Gunnison, Colorado where she oversaw the administration and implementation of sponsored research agreements with governmental and nongovernmental partners. She holds a Master in Environmental Management from Western Colorado University and has several professional certifications in Natural Resources Conflict Resolution.
