BIO
Laura joined the NFF in October 2023 as a Senior Director of Conservation Programs, providing direction and support to NFF's field teams in the Southern, Rocky Mountain, and Intermountain Regions. Laura also supports NFF's Conservation Finance program. She serves as a liaison with the U.S. Forest Service at the Regional and National Levels.
Laura has over three decades of experience in natural resource protection and community engagement work throughout the eastern U.S. She holds a Masters degree in biology from Florida International University.
One of Laura’s passion projects has been as a founding board member of the World Trail Network, a nonprofit organization that supports trail development and learning across trail organizations around the world. She’s an avid hiker inspired by local and global trail landscapes and cultures. Her favorite hikes are on the Jefferson National Forest, close to her Virginia home.
