BIO

Kristy Mobley joined the NFF in May 2022 as the Contracts & Procurement Coordinator. Kristy previously worked as a biologist and project manager at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) where she worked on several projects related to endangered species, including beach mice and Florida bonneted bats. She also enjoyed assisting with cave and culvert surveys to monitor winter roosting bats. When not conducting research in the field, Kristy also managed budgets, tracked grants, and led purchasing efforts for multiple projects. Most recently, Kristy served as the Project Coordinator of a coastal dune restoration project in the Florida Panhandle that was funded through the NFWF Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund.

Before moving to Florida to work for the FWC, Kristy worked in program management at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Kristy has over 20 years of experience in state purchasing and accounting procedures. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech.

In her free time, Kristy enjoys doing anything outdoors in the Florida sunshine with her husband and furbaby. She also enjoys reading and traveling. Kristy lives in Panama City Beach, Florida.
