"From early memories of looking for salamanders and eating blackberries as a kid to working in conservation as an adult, I wouldn't be who I am without National Forests. They give us so much and my work at NFF gives back to them."

BIO

Jeny joined the National Forest Foundation in July of 2022 as the Southern Rockies Program Associate. She supports program and project operations in the Southwest and Rocky Mountain Regions through strategic planning, organizational development, coordination, and collaborative conservation.

Jeny grew up living and playing in both the mountains and coast of Virginia. She now lives in Arizona, where she likes to stare at saguaro cactus and enjoy the numerous National Forests and public lands in the state. Prior to the NFF, Jeny worked at Desert Botanical Garden with the Central Arizona Conservation Alliance (CAZCA), EcoFlora, and Saguaro Census programs, immersed in collaborative conservation, community science and communications. She has earned an Associate of Applied Science in Horticulture from Tidewater Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Ecosystems with a related discipline in Conservation Biology from Arizona State University.

Outside of work, Jeny likes to take slow hikes to look at plants and rocks, ride her bike, read, make cyanotypes, enjoy music, eat tacos, bake, and generally nerd out about plants, ecology, and nature wherever she may be.
