"The abundant public lands that surround my community are a luxury that I treasure and do not take for granted! I'm grateful to be working on behalf of our country's National Forests and all they have to offer."

BIO

Jane Mandala joined NFF’s Conservation Connect team in January 2022. Originally from Minnesota, Jane has called Missoula home since 2006, where she enjoys all that the mountains and public lands have to offer. Prior to joining the NFF, Jane worked in a variety of roles, most recently for the Montana Tree Farm System as a Peer Network Coordinator. Her background also includes publication editing, logistics management, goat herding, and seasonal work in several national parks, which inspired her interest in conservation.

Jane earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Spanish and sociology and a master’s degree from the University of Montana in speech-language pathology. When not supporting the collaborative work of forest stewardship, Jane can usually be found enjoying time outside with her husband and dog, working on her family’s forest property outside of Missoula, sewing, or hunkered down reading a good book.
