BIO

Heather Bartlett grew up in Southern Oregon and attended Oregon State University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife. During college, she worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon Department of Forestry and Oregon State University. After college, she worked for Partnership for the Umpqua Rivers and then landed a permanent position at Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe for 12 years working as their Environmental Specialist. While at the Tribe, she focused on watershed health, hydrology, forest habitat restoration and wetland mitigation banking. She has her Professional Wetland Scientist Certification and Wetland Delineation Certification from Portland State University. Heather is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in South Dakota and has collaborated with Tribes across the United States on climate adaptation planning, clean transportation and energy, and water quality issues. In her spare time, you can find her on the tennis court, hiking, kayaking or mountain biking. Heather lives in Roseburg, Oregon and is the Southern Oregon Program Coordinator working with the Umpqua and Rogue-Siskiyou National Forests staff.
