BIO

Ford Van Fossan joined the NFF in 2024 as the Conservation Connect Program Manager for Southern Idaho. Ford grew up in the fields, marshes and forests of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology from Middlebury College. After stints with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and University of Delaware’s deer lab, he began working in the outdoor industry where he ultimately headed up the conservation outreach for a fast-growing hunting apparel brand. In this role, he oversaw efforts to advocate and fundraise for wildlife and wild places and led on-the-ground conservation projects. Ford lives in Idaho’s beautiful Wood River Valley with his wife and bird dog. He enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, trail running, and just about anything else one can do on our fantastic public lands.
