BIO

Erik Snow joined the NFF in March 2023 as the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison (GMUG) Forestry Coordinator. His work focuses on preparing and managing forestry projects across the GMUG in Western Colorado.

Erik came to the NFF by way of northern California, where he worked with industrial and small landowners to plan and implement sustainable forestry projects. Erik holds a degree in Forestry and Natural Resources from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

During Erik’s career, his primary focus has been designing and overseeing forestry projects aimed towards providing sustainable long-term yield of forest products. Additionally, he has managed projects with diverse management goals such as habitat enhancement, fuel reduction, forest restoration, and forest sampling.

In January 2020 Erik received a professional license from the state of California, becoming one of the state's Registered Professional Foresters.

When not working on forestry projects, Erik can be found enjoying our nation’s public lands hunting, fly fishing, rafting, and backpacking.
