"National Forests are incredibly therapeutic to me. I feel most at peace with myself in nature, and I am passionate about encouraging others to enjoy the splendor of our National Forests as much as I do."

BIO

Emily joined the National Forest Foundation in Summer 2024 as the White River National Forest Stewardship Coordinator. She works closely with NFF, funders, partners, and the U.S. Forest Service to manage the annual grant cycle of the Ski Conservation Fund as well as generate new funding from new and existing sources.

Emily has a background in communications, grant management, and nonprofit fundraising and development. She previously worked for Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, where she developed meaningful partnerships while championing the local community’s involvement in the sustainable management of the White River National Forest. Originally from a small ski town in Vermont, Emily moved to Colorado 11 years ago in pursuit of the ski-bum lifestyle and decided to stay put. She now lives in Kremmling, CO and in her free time enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, gardening, and boating with her husband and dog.
