"As a Southern California city-dweller, I have the rare privilege of being able to visit multiple nearby National Forests whenever I need a break."

BIO

Christina Mondy joined the NFF in February 2023 as the Southern California Program Associate. Originally from New England, she has been living in Los Angeles since 2014. After graduating from Stonehill College that year, she moved to LA to follow her dream of being a writer. She worked in the entertainment industry for several years but realized she found more fulfillment in her volunteer work. While still a creative at heart, she had a new dream to work at an organization making a positive difference in the world. The NFF’s mission of forest conservation called out to her. She is thrilled to bring her unique experiences and passion to the Southern California team. In her spare time, she continues to write, volunteer with animals, participate in local government, and experiment with her newfound love for cooking.
