"I still remember the first time I tasted a wild blueberry. I was in middle school and my dad and I had taken a three-day weekend hiking trip to Pisgah National Forest. My legs were just about to give out when we reached a rocky overlook surrounded by wild blueberry bushes. In that moment it seemed like I’d never had berries that tasted so good. Small moments like this are what I come back to when I think about my love for National Forests."
