BIO

Brittney Halliday joined the NFF in October of 2022 as a Program Coordinator at the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. In this role, she works collaboratively with the U. S. Forest Service, local governments and universities, and a dedicated Stakeholders Group on community engagement, fundraising, and implementation of prairie and grassland restoration, watershed restoration, and recreation development at Midewin. She also manages the Midewin Youth Corps, providing high school interns an opportunity to explore their passion for the outdoors while connecting with local conservation leaders and building ecosystem health and management skills.

Her diverse background includes 15 years of experience in project management working both for nonprofit organizations and in the private sector leading Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) initiatives. Brittney brings with her a dedication to building strong relationships and a commitment to mobilizing resources to create sustainable impact.

Brittney lives and works in Illinois with her husband and two children. In addition to enjoying the outdoors year-round, she spends much of her time volunteering with Make-A-Wish as a wish granter. She is also a board member of a local recreation club where she coordinates conservation education and seasonal activities. Brittney graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Illinois University and continues to pursue professional development opportunities in project management.
