BIO

Austin Justis joined the National Forest Foundation in 2024 as a Southern Region Program Coordinator, where he helps develop and implement watershed resilience, climate resilience, forest health, outdoor experiences, and other conservation for the Forests of Texas.

Prior to joining NFF, Austin served as a Project Manager for a variety of conservation and ecological restoration projects. Projects included stream construction, wetland mitigation, planning, vegetation management, and emergency response.

He earned his B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas Tech and an M.S. in Agricultural, Environmental, and Sustainability Sciences from the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley.

Now based in Houston, Austin grew up enjoying the Texas Gulf Coast from his home in Brownsville, Texas. Outside of work, Austin enjoys playing golf and hunting, and fishing throughout Texas.
