DEADLINE
The Soda Creek Mitigation Site is part of the National Forest Foundation’s (NFF) Colorado Western Slope In-Lieu Fee Program. The Site was approved by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in October 2020.
The purpose of the Soda Creek Restoration Project is to re-establish and rehabilitate wetlands adjacent to and near Soda Creek for use as Compensatory Mitigation for the unavoidable impacts to Waters of the United States. The Project will restore 42.5 acres of palustrine emergent (PEM) and palustrine shrub-scrub (PSS) wetlands. In doing so, the proposed Site will provide restored aquatic resources with enhanced ecological function, habitat for native flora and fauna, and downstream water quality and flood amelioration benefits for downstream communities.
Responses should be emailed by July 3, 2024.
