Big Tujunga Canyon Recreation Tract Fuels Reduction, Angeles National Forest, California

The purpose of the Big Tujunga Canyon Recreation Tract Fuels Reduction Project is to provide public, employee, and firefighter safety by reducing the fuel load and arrangement of fuels. Various treatments will be employed to reduce flammable fuel per acre on the project site. Fuels will be reduced in chaparral, oak stands, and timbered stands using hand mechanical treatments using chain saws, pruning saws, and hand tools.

The NFF and the Forest Service will host an optional Pre-Bid Site Visit on August 15, 2024. Please meet at the Stonyvale Day Use area at 10:30 a.m. The address is 2090 Stonyvale Rd, Tujunga, CA 91042.
