During this peer learning session attendees will: • Hear examples of projects involving multiple partners including the Montana Forest Action Advisory Council, the Rocky Mountain Restoration Initiative, and the Lake Tahoe West Restoration Partnership; • From these examples, understand catalysts for bringing partners together and learn different formats for convening partners; and • Have an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers.

Watershed Condition Framework: Key Results from the First 10 Years & Where We Go from Here peer learning session (November 18, 2021)

During this session, speakers introduced the audience to the Watershed Condition Framework (WCF), shared the progress that has been made on WCF over the last 10 years, provided an overview of the modernization of WCF, and provided case studies of the applications of WCF. U.S. Forest Service speakers included Josh Wilson, Water and Aquatic Resources Assistant Director; Joan Carlson, National Watershed Program Leader; Karen Vyverberg Wait, Rocky Mountain Region Water Program Specialist; and Mike Eberle, National Water Rights and Uses Program Leader.

Forest Service Partnerships with Nonprofits: Examples from the Field peer learning session (December 2, 2021)

During this peer learning session attendees will: Learn about impactful partnerships between the U.S. Forest Service and nonprofits at the local, regional, and national level, including: -The partnership between the Forest Service and the National Forest Foundation (NFF) and the NFF’s role as a Congressional chartered nonprofit; -Partnerships between the Forest Service and nonprofits at the regional level and the role of the regional partnership coordinator in supporting these relationships; -Partnerships with local friends groups as shown through an example given by the Friends of the Bridger-Teton; and Have an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers.

The Success of Trailhead Ambassador Programs peer learning session (November 10, 2021)

During this session, attendees gained an understanding of how and why trailhead ambassador programs were started; heard about the ins and outs of trailhead ambassador programs; and gained an understanding of the lessons from existing trailhead ambassador programs. Mixing & Matching Authorities for Success in Shared Stewardship peer learning session (November 1, 2021)

During this session, speakers described the authorities that can be useful for achieving success in Shared Stewardship, described the ins and outs of using these authorities, discussed the role of these authorities in advancing Shared Stewardship of our nation's forests, and answered questions from attendees about mixing and matching authorities for success in Shared Stewardship. Speakers included Lynn Sholty, U.S. Forest Service Grants and Agreements Specialist; Alison Leiman, U.S. Forest Service Business Operations Grants Policy Specialist; Cody Desautel, Intertribal Timber Council President and Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation Natural Resources Director; Phil Rigdon, Intertribal Timber Council Vice President and Yakama Nation Department of Natural Resources Superintendent; and Jon Songster, Idaho Department of Lands Good Neighbor Authority Bureau Chief.

During this peer learning session participants will: -Hear from Barnie Gyant, Associate Deputy Chief of the National Forest System, on the vision of partnerships for the agency, and have the opportunity to ask him questions; -Participate in breakout rooms discussions regarding the benefits and challenges of partnerships to help shape the future direction of partnership work in the agency; and -Learn about an upcoming opportunity for partnership support on your unit offered through the Partnerships on Every Forest (PEF) program.
