What is it about Tuesdays? The day has kind of a weird following in music - “Tuesday’s Gone,” “Ruby Tuesday,” “Tuesday Afternoon,” and so on. But in the last few years, another kind of following with even more power than music has emerged: the millions of people who are supporting important causes on “Giving Tuesday.”
Here at the National Forest Foundation, generous donors nationwide have stepped up – more each year – to help us restore public lands. Their gifts, whether small or large, help us plant trees, improve wildlife habitat, build trails, and much more. Your unrestricted gift gives us the flexibility to put funds where they are most needed, and you probably know our Forests have tremendous needs from wildfires, climate change, and other threats.
Increasingly, our supporters want to know their funds are being used effectively. We’re proud of our very strong charity ratings: four stars on Charity Navigator and platinum on Guidestar. Your gift is in good hands and will achieve real impact.
Whether it’s The Pogues, Beatles, Smithereens, Lynard Skynard, or Bowling for Soup, pick your inspiration for Tuesdays. And please join us on Tuesday, December 1 to meet our goal of raising $50,000 for our National Forests and Grasslands. Thank you for your generosity and happy holidays!
